Entry is where Novice Classification has been achieved or assessed by the instructor, Dogs and Handlers are able to compete at classes from grade one to seven agility competitions. The Handler must take in to account their ability and experience before entering competitions. At this level the Handler and Dog work as a team, instruction is often a discussion between handlers and the instructor. Techniques and practices are exercised and evaluated; often they are developed individually to hone the dogs and handlers skills.
Entire courses are practised; the course is designed with the competitions in mind. Approximately twenty pieces of equipment are set out, courses are broken down in to elements and then the entire course is completed.
